The 20th District is one of the most competitive seats in Delaware, and Republicans have made it absolutely clear that they are coming after it in 2026. The Democrat who won the special election in August 2025 did so by only 121 votes out of 9,185 cast! That narrow margin is a warning sign for every Democrat in Sussex County: if we don't nominate someone who can win decisively, we WILL lose this seat in the general election!

I am running because I believe that would be a disaster for us! The stakes are too high, the district is too important, and the challenges facing our community are too serious to hand this seat over to the Republicans. My experience, community ties, and ability to connect with voters make me the strongest candidate to protect this seat and keep it in Democratic hands where it belongs.

A Lifelong Delawarean Fighting for the Community I Love

I was born here, raised here, and built my life and businesses here. I’ve lived in all three counties, raised a family, survived breast cancer, supported local nonprofits, attend St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Lewes, and worked for decades alongside neighbors and small businesses across Sussex County. Service and community are not slogans to me. They are a way of life.

My family has deep Democratic roots, going back generations, and I am proud to carry that tradition forward. I want to bring the values I grew up with into the State House: fairness, dignity, opportunity, and responsibility to the people we serve.

Sussex County roads are overwhelmed. I will push the State of Delaware to make real investments that improve safety, reduce congestion, and support our growing communities.

Coastal Delaware cannot afford more environmental shortcuts. I will stand up for clean water, responsible development, and the natural resources that define our way of life.

Shield and Support Our Immigrant Communities

Our immigrant neighbors strengthen our community. I support policies that protect their rights, expand access to services, and uphold dignity for every family.

Expand Healthcare Access and Local Resources

Healthcare access in Sussex County is uneven and often inadequate. I will work for more providers, shorter wait times, and better mental health and addiction services.

Support Healthy, Independent Aging for All Seniors

Delaware seniors deserve safe housing, accessible healthcare, and transportation that allows them to stay active and independent.

Invest in Education and Workforce Training

Strong schools and modern job training create strong communities. I will support students, educators, and workers with practical tools for success.

Grow a Diverse and Sustainable Economy

I believe in an economy that lifts everyone. I will support small businesses, clean-energy growth, and innovation that builds long-term opportunity.

Every neighborhood deserves safety and respect. I support fair justice policies and community-based approaches that build trust and reduce violence.
